Our Story

SVMT began with an idea Matthew has carried for years, to build something from the ground up. He tried a variety of business models to establish what worked and what didn't. However, it wasn't until he partnered with his friend Harris, that he felt like pursuing this together would be a possibility.

Both Matthew and Harris have spent years exploring Scotland together. Completing their Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award's to countless hill walks and a never ending number of mountain bike routes they've experienced everything the Scottish weather can throw at them.

Both are members of the Air Cadets and actively pursue part time jobs and their studies alongside starting SVMT.

SVMT was built for those who value the outdoors the most, people who merit simplicity, reliability and products designed for the outdoors. Our beanies are reasonably priced as we are a new brand entering the market and we want as many people as possible to experience them, wear them and trust them.

Why SVMT?


SVMT was created by two 17-year-old founders, Matthew and Harris, after months of building the brand from the ground up. We are in our final year of school and spend most of our time outdoors hiking, biking and doing watersports, alongside completing our Bronze, Silver and Gold DofE Awards. We know how harsh the Scottish weather can be, which is why we chose high-quality beanies and customised each one by hand with our own sewn labels. Our products are made for real conditions and real people. SVMT is built for people like us, people who get out there no matter the weather.

What are your hats made from?

All of our hats are made from high quality cotton. Each style has been designed for comfort, breathability and everyday durability, while keeping a premium look and feel.

What size are your hats?

All of are hats are one universal size, designed to fit the majority of heads.

How long does delivery take?

After ordering your beanie, we aim to process your order and ship your transaction within three working days (usually faster) as we prioritise our customers.

Can I return my product?


Of course you can, providing the product remains with tags attached, and in the same condition as you received it in. Under UK law for online purchases, customers have a 14-day cooling-off period starting from when the order is delivered. You simply need to let us know within 14 days if you’d like to return your item, then you have another 14 days to send it back. We will refund the item price and standard delivery once we receive it.
